How to upgrade the Samsung Galaxy S4 to Android 4.3

If we have a free Samsung Galaxy S4, but we have automated the notification that tells us about the new updates, you may receive with joy an interesting surprise: Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is here. For days began improvements sharing among units of South Korea's high-end, and even then we warned that the arrival of the Spanish seal equipment was imminent. We were not going off track, and from this week and you can get the latest version of the Google operating system, Android 4.4 with permission of KitKat, currently reserved for phones and tablets Nexus series.

To download and install Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on Samsung Galaxy S4 can choose two routes: the wireless via OTA (over the air) or using the computer as an intermediary with the Samsung Kies application. The latter is the fastest, although somewhat cumbersome, since it requires us to connect the phone to your PC, Mac or laptop, either via microUSB or Bluetooth, and use the said application. However, this method avoids the shifts wirelessly and the whole process is self-managed by Kies: simply connect the Samsung Galaxy S4, open the application and it will indicate that an update is available. We would just have to make a backup precaution, accept the new package download and worrying.

The other route is more comfortable, but also has its considerations. As we say, it is possible that if we have automated the search for updates, notification we are advised of the availability of new software. If so, we would only have to follow the instructions on screen to tell us as long as we are connected to a Wi-Fi network, because the process will lead to download almost 680 MB of data. In case you have not given the notice indicates the presence of updates, we could consult manually. Let's see how.

We should first go to the settings menu of Android system. It will open a screen where you will detect four tabs at the top. Of these, we want to select the fourth, which we identify as "More" so you will get to a submenu, from which we will see sections entitled "About device". When you enter here, the first we will forward it to us as "Software Update", where besides mark the box indicating the periodic consultation of new updates in the repositories of Samsung will see a button that allows you to manually search .

When selected, check that indicates the availability of a new software upgrade package. We may receive a warning that at the moment it is not possible to download. Given that, we can choose to keep some patience and do it later or upgrade to Samsung Kies, following the first method we have described.

When you start the process, it will indicate a progress bar with a timer. Depending on our wireless connection, the task may take more or less 30 to 45 minutes or so, plus an additional delay for the installation. When this is over, the Samsung Galaxy S4 will reboot and can start enjoying Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
